Allahuma Barik! What a journey it has been.
This year's International Day at NGS was not just a celebration — it was a milestone. A beautiful, vibrant, and heartfelt commemoration of 10 years of a community that has been built on the foundation of togetherness, mutual respect, and a shared love of learning. Alhamdulillah, and what a community it is.
The day was everything one could hope for and more. From captivating cultural performances that had the audience in awe, to lively and colorful stalls representing the many nations and backgrounds that make up our school family, every corner of the event was filled with warmth, energy, and sincere joy. Students, parents, and staff came together in a way that reminded us all of just how special this community truly is.
What makes International Day at NGS so meaningful is that it is not simply an event on the calendar — it is a reflection of who we are every single day. Diversity is not something we celebrate once a year; it is something we live, breathe, and learn from each and every day within our classrooms, our hallways, and our shared experiences.
And perhaps no words capture the spirit of this day more beautifully than those of Allah Himself:
"And among His signs is the diversity of your languages and your colors." (Qur'an 30:22)
Our differences are not dividers — they are divine signs. They are a reminder that the richness of this world lies in its variety, and that when people of different cultures, languages, and backgrounds come together with open hearts, something truly extraordinary is created.
